One Eleven Chop House’s Zimei Teaching “Steakhouse Classics”

WORCESTER, Mass., Sept. 2006 - One Eleven Chop House announced today that Executive Chef Stefano Zimei will teach a one-night “Steakhouse Classics” class from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2006 at “Assabet After Dark,” Assabet Valley Center for Continuing Education, 215 Fitchburg St., Marlboro.
Zimei’s menu for the class will include an appetizer of lemon-grilled shrimp with marinated, bruschetta-style tomatoes; a main course of barbequed, braised short ribs with horseradish cream, and a dessert of coffee pot au cream.
Zimei joined the One Eleven Chop House in November of 2005. In his experience as a chef, he has won numerous awards including gold, silver and bronze medals at the New York Food Show, a gold medal at Spinazzola Boston and a silver medal at the 126th Salon of Culinary Arts competition. He has a degree in culinary arts from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI.
One Eleven Chop House has consistently been named the area’s best steakhouse by Worcester Magazine, the Telegram & Gazette and The Landmark in Holden. It has also been named the area’s best restaurant by Worcester Magazine and The Landmark. One Eleven Chop House has also received Wine Spectator’s “Award of Excellence” for six consecutive years.
